Alright, alright, alright- new re-vamped sound of the old Lunatropic and now transformed into some into some different kind of beast altogether. Close to being finished but would love feedback. Please tell me what you think!!
Lunatropic- new mix!
A more or less final version of a tune I’ve been working on for too long:

Will post new music soon…
After moving into our new house, I will be back to making music and cleaning up some older ideas. Recently downloaded the free Togu TAL Noisemaker VST synth, a pretty fun and powerful synth which is totally a blast to play around with and make some pretty impressive noises with it. Check it out!
Have a great day-

New track for summer
Working on a new track with a demo available to listen over at Soundcloud. This probably has my strongest house feel yet but also with some samples of a reggae/dancehall vocalist on it. Here it is at Soundcloud:
Appreciate feedback in most any form! Mahalo and have a great 4th of July!

Tiger and Woods new LP is out
And it sounds pretty damn good! You can take a listen to it at Resident Advisor. They also have an archived webcast at RA which is excellent… and free.
Delicious disco track
This is an awesome track called “Cosmic Disco” from Patricia White from some period in the 1970′s. A real nice, funky/spacy disco track, it’s really right up my alley. Sorry about the link to Amazon but it seems to be the only reliable link that has a sample of the tune. Compiled on a really good disco compilation called Disco Love by Al Kent, link here:

Highly recommended.

New tracks (see links below)
I’ve got two new tracks listed below, with links to Soundcloud. The first, Lunatropic, is kind of an episodic, slightly psychedelic house-boogie kind of track. It is long and I am in the process of trying to trim it down in places to a more manageable length (right now it’s just over 11 minutes). The song definitely evoked some sort of celestial inspiration for me and I thought of plants that bloom in the evening or night and imagined them tracking a full moon over the course of a night. While they’re getting down, of course. Yeah, it’s a little weird.
The next track, Binary Revolution, is a little more straightforward- a techno anthem for robots. It’s even a little bit industrial sounding with some poppy progressions thrown in there. It was definitely fun to make! Hey, the title is a little cheesy and pretentious but so is the song!!
Tell me what you think.

Update (7/4/2011): Lunatropic has bee updated to the Waxing Gibberish mix version. Hope to have a final version ready for download in a couple of weeks at the latest.
Billions and billions of stars…..
This is a new blog, focusing on electronic music (and various other asides). Some of it will be focused on my own music, other times it will focus on others. I will links soon to Soundcloud, where I have a few tracks in various degrees of production. As you can also see from my title, I like astronomical things (in addition to many other interests) and that my title has been derived from a Carl Sagan quote. I may also talk about plants, people, ideas, fiction, surfing and any other thing that fills my brain with electrical stimulation.
